Welcome! I'm so glad you could visit the Wabasha GenWeb site.
For those of you who have been here before, it's still the same site and I'm the same webmaster.
I've just done a little rearranging and redecorating.
I hope you have a profitable time here.
7/06/2004 ~ I have added census links for Chester and Mt. Pleasant Townships on the "Census" page. I worked on the Cemetery pages, rearranging some information that was in the wrong place and adding two cemetery pages. I added some photos to the "Churches" page.
7/06/2004 ~ I added a photograph page, "Along the River." Linda Noll sent me the photos to ease my homesickness, but I believe they've made it worse! I've got to get up there this summer ~ maybe for "Corn on the Cob Days" in Plainview.
5/28/2004 ~ Every day I'm adding more, especially to the cemetery section. Today I added a link on this page to "Linda's Enchanted Garden." Does it have anything to do with genealogy? Welllll, there are roots! Be sure to go there.
5/18/2004 ~ I removed the photos of schools from the Photo Album and made a new page for them, "Wabasha County Schools" linked under "History" on the home page.
5/14/2004 ~ I have added a new page, "Churches," and a new section, "Townships." Both are linked to this home page. I have also added a new wedding account, several obituaries, many cemetery entries and two photos in the "Photo Album."
5/08/2004 ~ There have been so many additions lately that I cannot list them. Suffice it to say that the Cemetery, Wedding and Obituary sections have been greatly enlarged. Also, the Readers' Queries and the Photograph Album have been added to recently.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Do you own any school annuals or books about Wabasha County and would be willing to do lookups in them?
Could you record tombstone records from a local cemetery? Are you a scout leader and need a project for your troop?
Could you provide some local history information about one of the communities in Wabasha County?
Would you be willing to do lookups at the local level or any genealogical records to which you have access?
Please consider scanning and sending your "old tyme" photos related to Wabasha County ~ a landmark, old buildings, churches, etc.
If you belong to a local history or genealogy society, would you consider sharing information on this site?
Would you compile a list of veterans who served in any of the wars for honorable listing on this site?
