I have info on these Wright County Families:

1. Harvey Stillman NORTON, issued original federal land sale on 1 July 1859, in SWNW Section 18, Twp. 120N, Range 23 West, including land in both Wright and Hennepin County. Was responsible for having the town of HASSAN platted; it ended up being a "paper town" on the Crow River. Harvey was born in Spafford, Onondaga County New York 1828, and came to Minnesota from Geaga County Ohio.

Harvey married Sallie Ann FINICAL. They were my GG-Grandparents.

2.Elmer A. CRUIKSHANK, born 1869 Long Lake, Hennepin County MN; lived many years in Howard Lake MN, and is buried there. He died in Duluth MN ion 1954. Elmer married Harriet B."Hattie" MERRIMAN in 1901. They had two sons: Lawrence Elton, 1903-2000; and Donald.

Elmer A. Cruikshank was the son of Andrew Cruikshank and Paulina FRANKLIN,.Harriet B. Merriman was the daughter of Austin MERRIMAN and Laura COFFIN.

Lawrence E. Cruikshank was my grandfather.
