NOTE: This couple was probably well-off financially. Their headstone was engraved on both sides, with the surname PALMER on one side, and PALMER and their given names on the other side along with dates of birth & death. They ALSO had separate foot stones reading "Benjamin H." and "Mamie Ellen" and between these two stones was the only concrete flower pot in the entire cemetery.

"mother" Susie M. Stallsworth 1884-1962 is found a short distance from Benjamin and Mamie. Susie's actual name was Martha Jane Susan Palmer, a daughter of James K. Polk Palmer and Sarah Ellen (Mutter) Palmer. Her cemetery record indicates her mother's maiden name was "Dinwittie". Susie was married to George Stallsworth.

Margaret was married to Fred Cecil Greenlee, Sr. and later divorced him. She lived in Washington, but her body was shipped back to Green Cemetery for burial. Margaret was a daughter of Clement Vlandingham Cunningham and Isadora Burtnett.
