Research Note: George came to Wheaton in 1920. He was engaged in the Real Estate business. He was also active in Community affairs, her served as The city clerk of Wheaton, secretary of the Community Club and as the city treasurer. He was on the Barry County board for old age assistance in 1935. In Dec. 1941 he was selected to served on the advisory board for Registrants of the selective service. He was a member of the Comfort Lodge #53 and was also a member of the Scottish Rite Chapter in Joplin.

Research Note: Henry Fehring grew up in Wheaton, MO. His father, Emil, owned and operated a Wheat Threshing crew in the Wheaton vicinity for many years. Henry had a brother, Walter R., who also served in WWI.
