Research Note: Barney served in WWII in Alaska, he was a very well known rifle marksman. During WWII he and his wife operated the Grocery store and filling station in Corsicana which was blown away by the October 31, 1943 Tornado. He later owned several business in Wheaton. Bates Jewelry, Locker plant, to name two.
