Northwest of Seligman - From
Highway 37, turn onto FR 1062. The first house on the left is that of Gary and
Rhonda Brown. After obtaining permission to drive across their property, go down
the lane by the side of their house. You will come to a field and the cemetery
is behind that field. It is fenced and partially mowed.
The cemetery is located on what was the land of Thomas Jubilee Barnes and his
wife Ziporah Barnes. T. J. and Zippa (as they were known) had the following
children: W. H. Barnes, Ruby M. Barnes, Julia Harriett (Barnes) Roller, Jesse A.
J. Barnes, Thomas Henry Barnes, Pinkney Levi Barnes, Eliza Jerusha (Barnes)
Miller, Mary Ardella Caroline (Barnes) Herd, Francis M. (Barnes) Ferguson, Lewis
N. Barnes, and Jewell V. (Barnes) Webb.

Rock Spring News: Lenna Barnes of Lamar,
Colo., 16 year old son of Jeff Barnes, was drowned on the 16th and was
buried here on the 18th at the family cemetery on the farm of T. J. Barnes.
He went into water ten feet deep and twenty feet wide. The bereaved have the
sympathy of the entire community. July 27, 1916, Thursday, Cassville
