For Vester Doyle Reed

The cemetery's land was originally a part of the Beaver farm. It is a small cemetery of about one-half acre. The first people to be buried in this cemetery were Billie Beaver and his wife Polly. Their graves are enclosed with a large sandstone block. On their original stones, with initials "B. B." and "P. B." are dates of birth and death. They are hand-carved, and due to weathering are barely legible.

Calvin Dunaway, who died in 1865, was buried elsewhere, but was moved to Beaver Cemetery when his wife Mary died and was buried there in 1897. Their daughter Nancy Tennessee married Billie and Polly Beaver's grandson, Christopher Columbus Beaver. They are buried at this cemetery.

Two other of Calvin and Mary's daughters are also buried here: Ardena Dunaway Tilford and Missouri Ann Dunaway Pendergraft.

Billie and Polly Beaver's children were: Martin Van Buren Beaver Sr., Russell Cain Beaver Sr., Artamincie Beaver Bicknell, Mary Oliver Beaver Pendergraft, Logan Beaver, John Henry Beaver, Mahala Jane Beaver Henderson, Temperance Huckaby Beaver Perkins, and Nathan Patton Beaver.
