Informant was Nathan Justus. - Phyllis' Note: Her death date given in obit is Sept. 16 - Monett Daily Times, September 26, 1917 - Mrs. Jane Hand died at her home in West Monett at 4 o'clock, Wednesday morning, September 16, after a long illness. She was 68 years old. Her husband died about sixteen years ago. She is survived by three children -- Miss Flora Hand, who lived with her mother and cared for her all through her illness, Mrs. Nathan Justus, and Mrs. Louis Allen, all of Monett. Funeral services will be held at the home on Myrtle street at 10 o'clock Thursday morning and interment will be made in the Bethel cemetery. |
