Research Note: Betty Marie Norman, age 65, of Exeter, died Oct, 30, 2005, at her home following a long illness. She was born January 8, 1940, in Wheaton, and was a daughter of Albert Wendell and Ruby Irene (Henderson) Norman. She was a graduate of Rocky Comfort High School. She managed a restaurant in Decatur, AR, for several years and was a linen department manager for a store in Bella Vista, AR. Graveside services were November 2, at Chitwood Cemetery in Wheaton with Brother Steve Higgs officiating under the direction of McQueen Funeral Home of Wheaton. |

She was born March 24, 1902, in the State of Missouri. She was a licensed practical nurse and worked for home care. She moved to Boulder, Colorado, in 1998. She married James Proctor, and he preceded her in death in 1945. Survivors include one grandchild and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Vivian and Christine. Graveside services were April 24, at Chitwood Cemetery in Wheaton. |

The remains were laid to rest at Chitwood Cemetery, Thursday in the presence of his sorrowing family and a number of friends. He was a member of the Baptist Church and had lived a Christian life. Rev. Lewis Creason of the Baptist Church held short services at the grave. The bereaved have our sympathy. |
