The stone is broken off the base. - Donna's Note: In the online obit Dallas is listed as born June 15, 1859 and died Jan. 17, 1829, according to the death certificate the death date is Jan. 17, 1929. It lists his parents as William Box and Elizabeth Green. It reads that he was born June 15, 1859 and not in 1888 as the stone reads. Dallas A. Box was born at Cassville, Missouri, June 15, 1859 and died January 17, 1829. Age 69 years and 7 months. He professed his faith in Christ at an early age and lived a devoted Christian life. He was married to Martha Caroline Higgs in 1881. To this union six children were born, two having died in infancy. The surviving children are: Mrs. Stella Graber, of Pierce City, Mrs. Annie Montgomery, of Bartlesville, Okla., Clarence of Pierce City and Lester of Web City.
