Directions: In Butterfield turn west on Hwy W, go 2.2 miles, turn right (north) on FR 1060, at 2nd crossroad, turn left (west) on FR 2115, go 8/10 mile to FR1052. The cemetery is on the right (north). All the stones in this cemetery were photographed May of 2009 - by: Darla Marbut Transcribed May 1999 - by Roger Longley - Transcription from existing headstones. Now deceased. Darla said that after
visiting with a very sad elderly lady about the condition of the cemetery on
Decoration Day last year that a group of interested Clark Cemetery neighbors
went to work on it. Much progress has been made on the cleaning on the cemetery.
A new fence has been put in around part of the cemetery and repairs made on
remaining fence. CLARK CEMETERY FUNDS NEEDED. Progress is being made on the cleanup and a
fence replacement around the cemetery to prevent stray cows from entering the
graveyard grounds. The Road District has the road widened to enable Rick, Sue &
Jim Horn of Butterfield whom has built a temporary fence to keep the cows out
until funds have came in to build a nice fence similar to the one they did at
the Russell Cemetery near Butterfield. |
