Rickman, born in AR and her mother was named Sarah A. Stewart, born in TN. She was a widow and died of cerebral apoplexy. King Funeral Home Records has a listing for Elsie Melinda Lawson who died Mar 23. 1914 of cerebral apoplexy. It appears that the month of November was transcribed as March and that listing is really for Alcy and not Elsie. |

Sept. 1, 1919 Ozark Twp., Barry Co., MO |
Research Note: Father: Levi H. Smith, Mother:_____ Lemaster. Cause of death: Cirrhosis of liver and Aortic insufficiency. Year of birth on tombstone does not agree with date on death certificate, date of birth is given as Dec. 30, 1853 on death certificate. Jim thinks that this is the Francis A. Smith who married Margaret C. Ellis, Aug 16, 1871 in Barry County. They are found in the 1880 Barry Co. census with children Effa C., Rachel L. and Alfred A. The recorded age for Francis in that census would make his year of birth 1853. Resource: Death Certificate - Jay's Note: The death certificate reads that he was a married farmer, he died of cirrhosis of the liver, along with aortic insufficiency. He was the son of Levi H. Smith of TN and ___ LeMaster of KY. Informant was C.A. Vaughan of Verona, Lawrence Co., MO. Resource: Missouri Death Certificate |
