Edie Cemetery
AKA: Aldridge Cemetery
AKA: Williamson Cemetery
Barry County, Missouri
Roaring River Township
Cannot be seen from the
road. Located well back in a field, under trees on top of a hill.
A newer sign on the fence reads "Williamson Cemetery"
This cemetery is North of Mano, MO; East of the Rock Creek, on the land owned by Lowell Williamson. The 1999 plat map shows Mr. Williams land as being located in (Roaring River Twp) Township 22N, Range 26W, Section 24. From the intersection of 76 and Highway M go south on M, when you see Farm Road 2225 (on your west/right), Mr. Williams land will be the next farm south of there. If you see Mano cemetery you went to far.
Mr. Lowell Williamson is the 3rd generation owner of the land. He has cleaned it up quite a bit; uncovering headstones and standing others up. There are several stones that are no longer legible. The following list was submitted March 2000 by his son Frank Williamson
Because
many of the stones are no longer legible, items in italics are additional or
differing information found in
Barry County
Cemeteries V4 by Joan Kunkel who transcribed this
cemetery Sept. 3, 1982.
