This is a small cemetery south of Monett, MO. Go 3 miles or so south of Monett on Highway 37 to Farm Road 2040—Turn west, or right. Go another 2.8 miles to a dark green steel enclosure on the north side of the road.
This is the original St. John’s Lutheran Church/Stones Prairie Original Cemetery. At the front, facing the road, is a fairly new stone with the following information on it.

Research Note: The original stone states that this Hemmerling infant was born April 20, 1888. Since the child is nameless, it is presumed that the child died at birth. The stone also says “Glory I Am The Life.”

Inscription: "Daughter of H. & A. Petlitzer" - Research Note: ”H & A” stand for Herman & Augusta, and they are also buried at the newer Stones Prairie Cemetery. Also, the original stone has the last name as “PETLITZA,” and there is a caption written in German.
Research Note: Joan Kunkel's Cemetery book lists her DOB as Aug. 17, 1827, instead of 1897, as on the stone. It may be a typo in the books or the wrong date on the new stone.

Also, Johan “John” Buchholz (Aug. 11, 1828-Aug. 31, 1920) is buried at the newer Stones Prairie Cemetery. He is buried there next to another John Buchholz, presumably the Junior.
