Lee Grave - Near Exeter, MO

Jack Fly told me that the one photo is of the grave site of the Irena E. Lee as it was in February, 2007.

This grave is located on the old Pharis Stephens place at box 639 CC Hi-way north of Exeter.

There are two graves located here. After probing the site on two occasions the headstone and footstone were found buried six inches below the surface.

The headstone marks the grave of Irena E. Lee, daughter of Joshua L. and Cynthia P. Lee.

The headstone is missing from the second grave but the footstone marked L. A. S. remains along with the base for the headstone.

On March 6, 2007 Ted Roller and Jack Fly cleared the brush from the site and reset the stone.

A special thanks to Steven Mattingly, great grandson of Pharis Stephens, for bringing this grave site to our attention.
