Research Note: Son of Roy and Mary (Peters) Bowman. On February 24, 1950, in Columbus, Kansas, he was united in marriage to Hilma Mae Cooper, who preceded him in death on November 9, 2009. Surviving relatives are four children. D.A., as most people knew him, received his education at Exeter, graduating from Exeter High School in 1948. He resided in Wichita, Kansas for a few years, where he was employed at Beach Air Craft. He then served our country in the United States Army. After his discharge from the Army he moved to Illinois for a while and was a dry wall hanger. In 1961, he moved back to Exeter and started dairy farming, which he continued until his health failed.

Research Note: He was the son of Malloy L. and Georgia Odean (Charles) Brown. On January 21, 1988, he was united in marriage to Pauline (Spencer) Williams. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Larry Brown. Donnie received his education at Wheaton, graduating from Wheaton High School with the Class of 1964. During the Viet Nam War, he was in the United States Army, serving from May 24, 1966 until April 8, 1968. For twenty-seven years Donnie was employed for Fasco, retiring in 2002. He also farmed and enjoyed raising baby calves.

Research Note: Exeter resident. He was a son of Odean (Charles) and Maloy Brown. Survived by one son and one daughter. Larry served his country proud in the United States Army as Chief Radio Operator with the Mac V Team 45 during 1969 – 1970 in Vietnam. He was honored by both the United States with the Bronze Star and by the South Vietnamese Government with the Certificate of Achievement, the first time ever given to a U.S. solder in the Pahn Rang Province.
