All being long term residents of the Shell Knob area on the Kings River bend. His childhood was spent on the family farm, and going to school at the "Old McQuire School", all on the same road. When WW II began he was a teenager, but signed up in the hopes of seeing more of the world. He survived two wives, Ola Ibanez Walling and Darlyeen Penquite. Cremation arrangements were under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. His remains to be returned to the place he grew up, at the McQuire Cemetery. |
