Louisa Jane Thompson was the wife of Dr. David Harvey Maxwell (son of John and Mahala). They removed to Barry Co. after the Civil War. Dr. Maxwell and Louisa settled in Barry County. Dr. Maxwell can be found in John's obit and census report in Shell Knob. However, upon Louisa's death, Dr. Maxwell moved to Galena, Stone Co. where he remarried and lived out the rest of his life. His grave marker is located in Y hwy Cemetery, near Reeds Springs. |

MILLER, Jeremiah "Jerry" H. |
Apr. 6, 1834 Fulton Co., IL |
Jan. 26, 1916 Mineral Springs, Barry Co., MO |
The Secretary of State's office indexed his death certificate as Jessie because it was written Jerrie and looks somewhat like Jessie. The death date matches the date that Jerry died but the certificate has Jan 30, 1836, born in IA as his birth record. John Periman gave the information. Jeremiah Miller married Mary Jane Haddock, daughter of Greenberry & Amanda (Smith) Haddock, died in 1916 and Marthena R. Aldridge, daughter of Andrew Bolen & Patricia (Melton) Aldridge, died in 1905. This unreadable stone was near the Marthena Miller stone. Stone has some lettering. Computer Enhanced Negative Jeremiah was buried by his wife - so this is probably his stone. Has military star on block layout photo - Online Obit reads that he enlisted in Co. B 24th Missouri Infantry during the Civil War. |
