Sapp, died at their home north of Exeter, Friday Dec. 14 at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 14 days after a short illness. She was born in Greene County, MO, on Nov. 26, 1862 and when a small child moved with her parents to Seneca, where they died. After their death she made her home with different relatives until about the age of seventeen when she went to make her home with Mr. and Mrs. Washington Montgomery. She was married to T. N. Sapp on Feb. 9, 1882 and to this union were born seven children, six of whom are living. They are James, Sanford, Clarence, Mrs. Flossie Linebarger, Mrs. Lizzie Yarnall and Mrs. Ina Bayless, all living in this county. Her first born, Ona Pearl, died when about six months of age. She leaves beside her husband, Uncle Newt and children, thirty grandchildren, four grandchildren having preceded her in death, also one brother, R. H. The funeral services were held Wednesday June 12 at Mt. Pleasant church, conducted by Rev. Luther Carlin. The large crowd at the funeral was a strong testimonial of the high esteem in which he was held by the people of the community where he had lived for many years. He leaves a widow and two children, a son and a daughter; father, mother, two sisters and one brother.
