Online Obit Submitted by Bill Landers Miss Catharine Lee was born Jan. 4th, 1859, in White County, Tenn., and came to Barry Co., Mo., in 1877, with her father, the late Jerry R. Lee. On October 15th, 1878, she and W.T. Thompson were married and three children were born to this marriage, who are: Mrs. H. M. Gray of Monett, James M. Thompson of Cassville, and Buford Thompson of Glendora, Cal. She professed faith in Christ early in life and at the time of her death, was a member of the Christian church in Monett. She died at the home of her son James Thompson in Cassville, where she was visiting, Sept. 7, 1923, of pneumonia, aged 64 years, 8 months and 3 days. Surviving are her husband W. T. Thompson and daughter Mrs. H. M. Gray of Monett; and James Thompson of Cassville, and Buford Thompson of Glendora, Cal., seven grand-children, one great-grandchild, one sister Mrs. J.C. Lowe, Buford Lee of Dallas, Texas, Jerry A. Cassville Democrat, Saturday March 11, 1911 Thomas Tucker, aged 63 years, died Wednesday, at his home west of Butterfield, from pneumonia, after an illness of about a week. At the time of his death he was surrounded by all his relatives. In the death of Thomas Tucker, Barry County has lost an excellent citizen. He was a son of the late John Tucker. He is survived by a son Elmer Tucker and two brothers and one sister, Will Tucker of near Butterfield, John Tucker and Mrs. Mark Combs of near Purdy. He was born and reared in Barry County, and was highly respected by all. Several years ago he married Miss Frances Goostree, a member of that highly respected family.
