Research Note: Obituary: Lincoln D. Stroup was born at Lawrence, Kansas, January 9, and departed this life January 25, 1930 at his home near Wheaton at the age of 69 years and 16 days. He was raised a Quaker. He was united in marriage to Lula Pickens September 26, 1914. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, Mrs. Lula Stroup, two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Kelly of Joplin and Mrs. Mary Humphries of Glendale, California. Also four step-sons, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at Muncie Chapel Sunday afternoon, January 26, by Rev. Chas. McNabb and the body laid to rest in Muncie Chapel Cemetery under the direction of the Belka & Wessell Funeral Home.
