Her life was spent devoted to her children and grandchildren. |

Research Note: Sarah Angeline Parker, born in Tennessee, married Felix Emery Hammer, son of Enoch L Hammer and Susannah Newby, on Dec. 2, 1866 in Lawrence Co., MO. In the 1870 census they are found in Mt Vernon Twp., Lawrence Co., MO, both age 24. In the 1900 census they lived in Wilson Twp., Greene Co., MO and both their birth dates were given as Oct. 1845. She was shown as the mother of 11 children, 5 living. In the 1920 census they are found in Mt Vernon Twp., Lawrence Co., MO in the household of Nora J. Bell, their daughter. Research Note: Funeral home record gives his date of birth date as 5 Mar 1855, which is a conflict of record and incorrect according to the cemetery stone. The death date on the stone and in the funeral home records is listed in both places as Sept 23, 1937. His father was W. P. Henderson according to the funeral home record and he died of senility and was a farmer. Jim's Post: J ohn Franklin Henderson was married twice: first to Mary C. Farrer on Dec. 24, 1874 in Barry Co., MO, by Elder P. B. Pennell. Their first child, William P. Henderson born in Apr 1876 married Julia M. Ellis daughter of Francis Marion Ellis and Easter Catherine Tunnell on Aug. 22, 1897 in Barry Co., MO. John F Henderson married Sarah K. McKinney Aug. 9, 1883 in Barry Co., MO. They were married at Mrs. J A McKinney's by Elder E. Hammer. Her dates are shown on her grave stone. Edward Harrison Henderson, also buried in this cemetery, was their son. |
