SSW: Samuel B. - Research Note: Death certificate indexed as "Mildred" Feland. She was the daughter of Samuel Lane, born TX and Mary Lane born IL. Andrew J. Baker of Cassville, MO was the informant. Cause of death was typhoid fever. Cassville Republican, January 8, 1914 Mrs. Feland, wife of the late Samuel Feland, east of town, died Sunday night of a complication of diseases. We are informed that Mrs. Feland had been sick several days before her illness was pronounced serious. Saturday night she suffered a stroke of apoplexy which seemed to hasten the end of life. She had lived in the vicinity of Cassville for twenty-seven years, and enjoyed the esteem of her acquaintance. She was the mother of five children, four daughters and one son. They are Mrs. Clarence Risdon of Oklahoma and Misses Minnie, Ivey, Vernie and Grover, all at home. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. W. The death certificate has birth date as Apr. 8, 1864 and the obit has Feb. 8, 1863. Family says it is 1863. Also has her as Mrs. Mary Jane (Deck) Frost in the obit. On November 21, 1880 she and Thomas S. Frost were united in marriage at Washburn and to them three children were born. Mrs. Roy D. Reynolds of St. Louis, Claud Frost of Tulsa, Okla., and a son who died in infancy. Linda McCormick's note: Marvel S. and Elizabeth (Morgan) Inman were the parents of my paternal great-grandmother - Louisa Virginia Inman West - and of her sister Mary Jane "Aunt Deck" Inman Frost.
