Research Note: Cassville Republican, Cassville, Barry Co., MO Thursday, February 8, 1912. The death of Charles, the son of J. C. Beck and wife, was a sad message to us, after being sick only 8 days, his death being due to pneumonia. He died at 6 a. m. Thursday morning. Charley was a bright and intelligent boy and had many friends, the school mates of Mt. Sinai have lost a dear friend. The funeral services were conduced by Rev. J. W. Ennes at the Oak Ridge school house Saturday after noon at 2 p.m., after when the remains were laid to rest in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. - Phyllis' Note: He was a son of John Calvin Beck, born Cumberland Co., IL, and Nora Ollie White, born TX, according to his death certificate. The cause of death was respitatory abstruction. He was 3 months old and his closest relative was Mrs. Irene Gentry. Rev. Charles VanZandt preached his funeral on May, 1965. |

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4205 and attended Corinth Baptist Church. He married Arvilla Hall on September 17, 1946, in Columbus, Kansas, and she preceded him in death July 8, 2000. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. |
