Research Note: Cassville Republican, Cassville, Barry Co., MO Thursday, February 8, 1912. The death of Charles, the son of J. C. Beck and wife, was a sad message to us, after being sick only 8 days, his death being due to pneumonia. He died at 6 a. m. Thursday morning. Charley was a bright and intelligent boy and had many friends, the school mates of Mt. Sinai have lost a dear friend. The funeral services were conduced by Rev. J. W. Ennes at the Oak Ridge school house Saturday after noon at 2 p.m., after when the remains were laid to rest in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. - Phyllis' Note: He was a son of John Calvin Beck, born Cumberland Co., IL, and Nora Ollie White, born TX, according to his death certificate.
