She had been feeling bad for several weeks. About 3 weeks before she died she had a stroke of paralysis. She did not seem to suffer much pain but gradually grew weaker until God called her home. She died without a struggle, was conscious most of he time and knew her friends when they would speak to her. She was married when young to W. S. Hobbs who preceded her several years ago. To this union were born eight children all are living, two girls and six boys. They are Mary Lester, Cross Hollows; Rosa Towe, McDowell; J. W., Jeff and George Hobbs, Cassville; John Hobbs, Alba; Sherman and Sheridan with home she made her home. It was hard to give her up but we know God doeth all things well. 80 years of service is a long time. She lived to see her children all grown and married. She also leaves a sister of Poplar Bluff, Mo., who visited her in her last sickness. The children were all attentive to their mother during her sickness doing all they could for her relief. She was a kind mother, a good neighbor and loved by all who knew her. |
