His daughter, Nancy, was married to Mr. C. E. Apple and both are buried at Seligman. Freeling married Mary Robinette and they had six children who are William, Amos, Samuel, Nancy, Sarah and Mrs. N. Research Note: May 4, 1907, Cassville Democrat had this item listed: Beaver News: Mrs. J. H. Skelton was called to the funeral of her grandfather Wilse Perkins near Seligman, MO, last Wednesday. He was well and hearty for supper, Tuesday night. Began to complain about midnight and was a corpse by 7:30 o'clock. He was in his 93 year. The casket in which he was buried was made from walnut grown on the farm. The lumber had been sawed for 25 years. The tree from which it came was trimmed by him when a small bush. Berryville, Arkansas Progress - Brandon did not find dates on the stone.

Research Note: July 23, 1914, Thursday, Cassville Republican - The funeral services of Mrs. Mary Perkins who died Wednesday of last week were held Thursday conducted by Rev. Clanton. Interment was made at the family cemetery near Seligman. The deceased was a daughter of the late James Sons and was born in Hancock County, Tenn., Nov 17, 1852. In 1880 she was married to Merit Perkins. To this union were born four children. They are Wilburn, James, and Luther Perkins and Mrs. Lena Wallace. Early in life she professed faith in Christ and lived a consistent Christian life. For a number of years she had resided in the vicinity of Seligman and enjoyed the esteem and respect of her acquaintance. Her death certificate names James Sons as her father and her mother as Church. It also listed her name as Sarah Sons Perkins and not Mary as the obit reads. Jay Trace added: Parents listed as Jas. & __ (Church) Sons, both born in TN. Married at time of death, informant listed as William Perkins.
