He came to this country with his parents at the age of two years and settled near St. Louis, Mo. From there he moved with is parents to Illinois and then to Wisconsin where he grew to manhood and lived several years and married Miss Minnie Miller. From there they moved to Kansas where he lived about 19 years. Fourteen years ago they moved to Missouri where he has lived until his death. He married in the year of 1874. To this union were born eight children, seven girls and one boy. One girl proceed him to the better world in infancy. He was converted about 21 years ago.
