BUSHWHACKER STORY: No Story

John Dake Long

One of Hiram Long's sons was brutally murdered at the same time as he was. We don't know which son it was but John's estate was probated in 1867. Also another brother Henry J. Long's estate was probated that same year so he too may have died at the hands of bushwhackers.

Notes: We do know that John Dake Long lived next door to Hiram Long in or about the time that Hiram was murdered.
