Research Note: Henry's mother, Sarah was a sister to Elmira (Antle) Hadley, and Jacob Antle that also lived in Barry Co. Henry and family came to Barry Co. before 1860 from Adair Co., KY. Henry and 3 of brothers (Samuel T, William Jefferson, and James) along with their cousin Oliver Antle. Henry, William J, and James along with their cousin Oliver Antle went AWOL at Hartville, Wright, Co., MO on Jan. 11, 1863. There is no further record of their military service after this date except for Oliver Antle. After the Civil War Henry lived in Washington Co., AR. |
