Joe Frazier plead guilty in Squire Davis' court in Shoal Creek township, this week to common assault on J. M. Lampkins, and was fined $1.00 and costs. It is alleged that he beat Mr. Lampkins in the head with a rock over some controversy. J. M. Lampkins is a good man and is getting very old and it seems that such acts on part of the defendant in this case are very bad indeed if the reports are true.
