Rick Canady, 46, of Monett died at 4:05 a.m. yesterday, May 23, at Cox Monett Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born April 30, 1953 in Carthage, the son of Charles and Margaret Carr Canady of Pierce City. He was a self-employed mechanic of Canady Service of Pierce City, a Pierce City High School graduate, and a member of the Van Buren Baptist Church near Wentworth. He married Karen Able October 1, 1977 in Van Buren. Other survivors include three sons, one brother, and five sisters. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 27 at the Monett I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Rev. Gene Needham officiating, with burial to follow. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 26, 7-8:30 p.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. A memorial has been established for the education of his children in care of the funeral home. |
