MRS. ANN CARNEY DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER

Mrs. Ann Carney, 76 years old, widow of the late Thomas Carney, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jim Ellis, north of town, February 14. Mrs. Carney was born in Severe (Sevier) county, Ark., Feb. 21, 1852 and moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Lamar, to Missouri in 1865. She was married to Thomas Carney in 1870, and they were the parents of six children, two drying in infancy. The remaining children: Jack Carney, Pitcher, Okla. D.F. Carney, Flat Creek, Mrs. Cora Ellis, Crane, and Mrs. Belle McCracken, Odess, Mo. her husband died July 24, 1924. Mrs. Carney had made her home here with her daughter, Mrs. Ellis, the greater part of the time since the death of her husband. Funeral services were held at Flat Creek, Saturday, and burial made in the cemetery at that place – Crane Chronicle.
