Obit: Mrs. Percy Cassetty died at the family home in Exeter Thursday afternoon after a long sickness. She was born October 28, 1885 at Golden and has been a resident of the Wayne and Exeter communities for 40 years. Her husband was postmaster at Wayne and retired after 16 years service. Mrs. Cassetty was the former Minnie Maye Hardwick and was a fine woman who had the respect and esteem of all who knew her. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Harry Cassetty of Los Angeles, Calif., and Elmer Cassetty of Beaumont, Tex., a daughter Mrs. Florence Vanable (Venable) of Exeter; two brothers, Hubert (Herbert) Hardwick of Golden and J. W. Hardwick of Cordell, Okla., and four grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Williamson Chapel in the Valley with brother Morton Woodward and Rev. Clyde McCormack officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Cleo House, Mrs. Mildred Swearingen, Chester McNabb and Rufus Barnhouse who sang, "Does Jesus Care", "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere", and "Beyond the Sunset", accompaniement of Jackie Swearingen. Pallbearers were Frank Epperly, Chester McNabb, Herbert Cagle, Ernest Lee, Leroy McGruder and Don Parsons. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery at Exeter.
