Wayne Lasley, 91, Purdy, died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 1996, at a nursing home in Monett after a long illness.

Mr. Lasley was born Sept. 16, 1905, at Purdy and was a lifetime resident. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. He married Hazel Niskren on March 3, 1929, at Purdy. She died March 8, 1993.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett. Burial will be in Purdy Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Purdy Cemetery Fund, in care of the funeral home.
