H. J. Laughlin, pioneer resident of this community, passed away at the home of his son, T. L. Laughlin, last Thursday night. Uncle Harve was one of our oldest citizens, being 92 years of age. He spent most of his life in McDonald County.

He was bedfast for six months but became worse Wednesday when he had a stoke of paralysis.

He leaves four sons and three daughters, several grand children and great-great grand children, and a host of friends to mourn his departure.

He was a member of the Methodist Church and a highly respected citizen.
