Theodocia Eunice Browning was born near Pierce City, August 28, 1874. Died in Liberal, Kansas, July 8, 1932, age 57 years, 11 months and 10 days. She was united in marriage to Dan G. Leonard, a number of years ago, and to this union four children were born, two dying in infancy. She was converted at the age of 16 during a revival meeting conducted by Revs. Swiger and Hodge, at the Doss schoolhouse. She united with Antioch Baptist church, later moving her membership to the Exeter Baptist church, where she remained a faithful and true member until her death. Mrs. Leonard was a true friend and neighbor, and held the respect of a large acquaintance.

She is survived by her husband, D.G. Leonard, two sons, Paul and Frank, one brother, W. P.Browning of Exeter, and one sister, Mrs. Lillie Spahr of Exeter, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Exeter Baptist church, on Tuesday afternoon July 12, 1932, by C.M. Smith and Chas. Vanzandt. Burial in the Maplewood cemetery at Exeter, Pogue Funeral Services in charge - Contributed.
