Fern W. Brust Main

Fern W. Brust Main, 90, of Neosho, former Powell, Mo., resident, died on Sunday, May 1, 2005, at 2:05 a.m. at Granby House Nursing home in Granby, Mo., following an illness.

Mrs. Main was born March 7, 1915, in Powell, the daughter of Joe Schell and Della May (Patterson) Schell. She was a lifelong area resident, a homemaker and a lifetime member of Powell Church of Christ.

Fern and Carroll E. Brust were married on Oct. 15, 1933, and to this union, five children were born. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1980, she then married Orville Main and he preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1999.

She is survived by three daughters; two sons; three sisters; one brother; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Goldie Brumley and Roxie Schell; and a granddaughter, Tamra Johnston.

Services will be Thursday, May 5, at 11 a.m. at Powell Church of Christ, Lynn Brust will officiate. Burial will be in Fox Cemetery, Powell. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, on Tuesday from noon to 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
