Pfc. Albert Marbut, Monett Infantryman, Perishes on Saipan Pfc. Albert Marbut, U.S. Infantryman, was killed in action on Saipan Island in the Pacific was zone, according to information sent his parents by the war department. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Marbut, well known residents of Monett. He was 29 years old and was killed July 12, He finished his training on the Hawaiian Island. Albert was born in Purdy, but grew up on a near Pierce City farm. He is survived by his parents, one sister, Mamia Marbut of the home, and a brother, Clifford Wichita.
