James Marriott, who some years ago resided at Purdy, died at Webb City, Thursday of last week. Interment was made Saturday, at the Bethel Cemetery, northeast of Purdy.  For the past few years he had been residing in Colorado. When a citizen of the county he took an active interest in politics, and was well known over the county. Three sons, Will, Arthur and Walter survive.
