Obituary:  On Friday night, Feb 10, the death angel visited our community and snatched from our midst Allen Marshall after a short illness of pneumonia fever. Allen Irvin Marshall was born Jan 9, 1883, died Feb 10, 1911, aged 28 years, 1 month and 1 day, was converted at the age of 21 and lived a devoted Christian life. Allen lived a life that should be an example to anyone. Funeral services were held at his father's home Sunday, Feb 12, conducted by Rev. G. W. Quails, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Purdy Cemetery. He leaves to mourn his loss a darling baby boy two weeks old, a loving wife, a father, mother, three sisters, three brothers, and a host of friends and relatives.
