Samuel Oakley an old and respected citizen of Washburn died Monday. For some time mortification had set in on his feet. Finally his feet and legs perished away, up to his body resulting in his death. Physicians held consultation in regard to amputating his feet some time ago and they decided he could not stand the operation. The remains were laid to rest in the Washburn Prairie Cemetery. The relative has the sympathy of their may relatives and acquaintances of this city.
