MRS. BOB OVERTON DIES AT WHEATON

Wife of Prominent Wheaton Citizen Dies Suddenly Following Hear Attack.

Mrs. Ellen Overton died at her home in Wheaton Monday morning following an attack of heart trouble. She took sick Sunday afternoon and died the following morning. Mrs. Overton as well knows and highly respected citizen who had resided in that section of the county all her life. Mrs. Overton was about 65 years old and was daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Swindle, old time and highly respected citizens of this county. She has lived in the Shoal Creek country, where she was born, all of her life. She was a member of the church and leaves one girl, Mrs. Walter Brattin of Wheaton, and two sons. Ira, who resides n the old home place on Shoal Creek and another son residing in California. All of her children were at her bedside at the time of her passing. Mrs. Overton was a wonderful character, possessing many true friends who had loved her since childhood. She was an excellent neighbor and did much for humanity. Funeral services were conducted at the Wheaton Baptist church Wednesday afternoon, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Rocky Comfort cemetery. A large number of sorrowing relatives and friends attended the services and interment. The Democrat sympathizes with the grief stricken family.
