Cassville, Mo. – Lester Orvil Vineyard, 88, Memphis, TN, a former Cassville resident, died at 11:30 am Tuesday at his home after a long illness.

Mr. Vineyard was born Aug. 22, 1904, at Exeter. He lived most of his life in the Exeter and Cassville areas. He moved to Memphis 14 years ago from Cassville. He was a retired farmer and a member of New Hope Baptist Church at Purdy.

He married Zelma Gladys Strother at Cassville. She died April 15, 1981.

Survivors include a son, a sister, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services will be at 9:30 am Saturday at Williamson Funeral Home, Cassville. The Rev. Hugh Higgs will officiate. Burial will be on Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Butterfield.
