Purdy News: Mrs. R. S. Dummit died at her home, one mile north of town, Saturday, August 20, after an illness of but a few days. She was 39 years old, was the mother of 12 children, all living, and was a devoted wife and mother. Funeral services were held at the residence Sunday, conducted by Rev. C. A. Fly, and the remains laid in Purdy Cemetery beside the baby born and died the day before.

At Rest: The death angel entered the home of Robert Dummit at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Aug 20, 1910, and claimed as its victim his beloved wife.

Mrs. Dummit had been ill only a few days, but her suffering was intense; nevertheless she bore it with patience until the Great master building said "enter ye into my mansion of rest," then kissing her twelve children a last good bye, she passed calmly over the river which flows onward and onward but never returns.
