Died Near Springdale, Arkansas:

Mrs. Walter Ray of Butterfield died Saturday at the home of her father, George Griggs, of near Springdale, Ark., of cancerous growth of the stomach. She had been afflicted for sometime. Her body was shipped to Butterfield, Sunday and after funeral services conducted by Rev. C. M. Smith at the Mt. Pleasant Church. Interment was made in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Dead: Manford Sooter of near Butterfield died Saturday night after several weeks illness from complication of diseases, age about 25 years. He was the son of Asbury Sooter, and had lived in the vicinity of Butterfield all his life. He was a member of the Methodist Church and enjoyed the confidence of his many friends. He is survived by a wife, other immediate relative and a large circle of friends.

The funereal services were conducted by Rev. J. W. Ennes Sunday afternoon at the Mt. Pleasant Church and interment made in the Mt Pleasant Cemetery.

Death of Thomas Ford: Thomas Ford, a well known citizen of Exeter, died at 1 o'clock, Sunday morning at his home just south of Exeter after an illness of several weeks. His death was due to complication of diseases.

He was born in Madison County, Arkansas, Dec 3, 1840, making him 72 years, 7 months, and 2 days old. When only a small boy with his parents he moved to near Rocky Comfort, McDonald County, where he was reared to manhood. In 1865, he was married to Elizabeth J. Barr, who survives him. To them were born 8 children, five boys and three girls. Morris Ford is the only one of the children at home. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon and his body laid to rest in the Maplewood Cemetery.

In his departure the county loses a good citizen and the community in which he has lived so long one of its most highly respected citizens.

Gilbert Buzzetti, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. A. Buzzetti, of near town, and Miss Gladys Brooks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Brooks of McDonald Township, were married Monday, June 30, at Carthage.

Following the ceremony the happy couple left for Anamosa, Ia., where Mr. Buzzetti has a position with a hardware firm. He is a young man of most excellent business ability and we predict for him a life of usefulness. The bride is a young lady with many accomplishments and enjoys a large circle of admiring friends. Their marriage unites two of Barry County's substantial and highly respected families.

The REPUBLICAN joins their host of friends who extend to the happy couple their most sincere congratulations.

A. C. Rude, one of the best known citizens of Eureka Springs, died suddenly from a stroke of apoplexy at his home in the city last Friday morning. He for many years resided on his farm five miles west of Berryville and was known pretty well all over the county as a kind hearted benevolent gentleman of the old southern school. He was buried Sunday in the Eureka Springs Cemetery under the auspicious of he Masonic Lodge of which he was a long and honored member. Berryville (Ark.) Star.
