News can be funny too!
| A
calf is reported to have created trouble between Sam McCormick and Jos.
Bauman of east Monett.
It is charged with damaging crops belonging to Bauman, for with McCormick assaulted Bauman, and for which he was tried, convicted and fined $5.00 and costs. That wicked calf should should be spanked a good and plenty for acting so naughty in creating a disturbance between neighbors. Sell it to the butcher and stop its depredations and thereby make peace.
