I have not made a lot of contributions to the Barry County site, but have sent in some cemetery pictures from Kings Prairie, Monett IOOF, Maplewood, Purdy and Vineyard. I also have submitted some obituaries, and some marriage, probate, and Family Bible transcriptions, death certificates, and photos, mainly of my husband's family.

If it weren't for wonderful people who guided me along my journey to find my paternal grandmother's family, I would never know that heritage. She died a few days after my dad was born, and then grandpa died when dad was just 16, so daddy never knew her or anything about her or her family. If it weren't for those who so selflessly shared with me my lost family, I would still not know my grandmother through their stories passed down, and the family items they have given to me that belonged to my grandmother, or her siblings.

Contributing to the Barry County site (along with others) is my way of saying "thank you'" to them, and to hopefully help others learn more about their family.
