Son of Robert & Katie (Frolley) Easley, grandson of Green Berry
& Eveline (Johnson) Easley.
The photo at the left was presumably taken just prior to Green leaving
for the war. Maybe at Graduation?
The round photo is a tin photo that Gina and her husband were
given by his father (Ray Easley) before he died, he received it from Edward
Easley, brother to the Green Berry in the photo.
Green died on the last day of WWI in the Argonne Forrest in France,
he served in Company D, 342nd MG Battalion, 89th Division.
The American Legion post 118 at Cassville is named for Green Berry
Easley and a man named Irwin. (Irwin being the 1st Barry County boy killed
in the war and Easley being the last). |
