Edith was born Aug. 13, 1909 on the Thomas Fleetwood farm near Monett. Her parents were George Ernest Fleetwood, Sr. and Margaret Sidney Russell Fleetwood.

She married Frederick Martin Reinsmith in Monett on Jan. 6, 1927. They had two children; Georgia Edith, who died at age 1; and Frances Marie.  Edith and Fred were divorced in 1934.

She second-married August Augustus Johnson on October 29, 1938. They raised cattle near Neosho until August's death in 1955, when Edith sold their ranch and moved to Neosho.

Edith died January 4, 2002, in Ironton, MO.
