Cooper Bailey who stated: "Back of picture says: This mill was owned
and operated by Grant McKee in the early 1900's. Situated about halfway
between the Viola Cemetery and the little village of Viola. At that
time the dirt road ran East and West in front of the mill. Directly
behind the mill was a hole water which supplied the mill. It is now
a beautiful little lake. McKee mill ground flour, corn meal and grain
for poultry and live stock. Also standing are Grant Mckee and to
of his sons, Clarence (left) and Earl (center.) Note: inscription
was written by Bernice Willyard Garland (Mrs. Joe Garland) she was the
niece of Grant McKee."
